What Santiago means on this price list

Santiago is the country's second city, about 75 km south of the airport on the other side of the mountain ridge. It is not a beach destination: people ride there for family visits, the Monumento a los Héroes and the Centro León, hospital and clinic appointments, business in the free-trade zones, baseball at the Estadio Cibao, and for the university. The same rate covers Cibao International Airport (STI) on the city's edge, which is the main reason this run gets booked — a POP arrival with an onward domestic or Caribbean flight out of STI. The road climbs out of Puerto Plata and can be slow behind trucks on the grade, so we plan the run on the longer end of the estimate rather than the shorter one.

3. 3After immigration and baggage, walk out to arrivals and look for the sign with your name.
4. 4Direct drive over the Autopista Duarte to your address or terminal. No other passengers in the car.

Hôtels, villas et points de dépose

Santiago has city hotels, apartments and clinics rather than beach resorts, and street numbering is inconsistent. Send a pin, the sector name or a well-known landmark and we confirm the drop-off in writing.

We drop at the door of the address you send. Hospitals and clinics use the main entrance; apartment buildings get a call from the driver on the way in so somebody can meet you. For STI we drop at the departures level.
