Hodelpa Centro Plaza is a city hotel in the middle of Puerto Plata, a block from Parque Independencia and the Victorian centre, which makes it the usual base for business travellers, cruise crews and anyone who wants the town rather than a resort. The drive from POP is 15 to 20 minutes, and the only wrinkle is the one-way grid around the park: the driver approaches from the side that allows a stop at the door. Ask us about the Teleférico cable car and Fortaleza San Felipe — both are minutes away and we can add a stop.
