This is the town itself: the Malecón seafront, the Victorian centre around Parque Independencia, the Fortaleza San Felipe end, the Teleférico cable-car station at the foot of Mount Isabel de Torres, and the boutique hotels, guesthouses and apartments in between. It also covers Long Beach and nearby residential areas. Coming from POP the driver follows the Carretera Luperón west into the city, so the only variable is town traffic around the centre in the late afternoon. Anything west past the city limit — Costambar, Cofresí, Maimón — is priced as its own zone.
