Costambar is the low-rise villa and condo community immediately west of Puerto Plata, behind its own entrance off the Carretera Luperón, with a small beach, a handful of restaurants and mostly rental homes rather than big resorts. The rate covers the whole community including the hillside streets above the beach. Because almost every booking here is a private house, the useful information is not the hotel name but the villa name, street and the caretaker or property manager's contact — the roads inside Costambar are unsigned in places and a driver who is guessing at night will lose you fifteen minutes.

Bigger groups

For 7–14 passengers on local routes to Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata city, Costambar, Cofresí, Maimón, Sosúa or Cabarete, add $20 Standard or $40 VIP per vehicle per journey. Larger groups and all longer group routes require a written custom quote. Declare all luggage and child seats before confirming the vehicle.
