When we recommend leaving Costambar

For Costambar we recommend a lobby pickup 2.5 to 3 hours before your flight time, our own operating advice rather than an airline rule. The drive is short at 15 to 20 minutes, but the peninsula road links the resorts, the marina and the canal-front villas through the same single entrance, and traffic backs up there when several properties check guests out around the same hour. Add the counter and security lines at POP and the shorter end of the buffer covers a normal morning; the longer end is for peak departure waves or a group of six or more. If your unit is on the marina or canal side rather than the main resort block, tell us — those pickups take a few extra minutes of internal road before reaching the highway.

Resort gate and lobby pickup

The driver clears the Costambar entrance road before your pickup time and waits at the main lobby with your name. For marina or canal-front villas, give us the dock or villa number and the car comes directly there.

Luggage and bigger groups

Boat bags, coolers and dive gear come through here alongside normal luggage. Tell us the count with your booking so we send an SUV or van that fits everything without a second trip.

For 7–14 passengers on local routes to Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata city, Costambar, Cofresí, Maimón, Sosúa or Cabarete, add $20 Standard or $40 VIP per vehicle per journey. Larger groups and all longer group routes require a written custom quote. Declare all luggage and child seats before confirming the vehicle.

Night and early-morning departures

Early charter flights and late arrivals both use this route regularly, and the price is the same at any hour. We confirm the pickup time by WhatsApp the evening before so the car is expected, day or night.
