What "Maimón" covers at this price

Maimón is the bay west of Cofresí, and the reason most people go there is Amber Cove — the Carnival-built cruise terminal on the western side of the bay. The same rate covers Maimón village, the beach, the villas and small hotels around it, and the terminal gate itself. If you are joining or leaving a ship this is the zone you want: on embarkation days we set the pickup from your boarding window rather than from the flight, and on debarkation we meet at the terminal's ground-transport area rather than inside the secure pier, because private cars are not allowed alongside the ship.

How the Maimón pickup runs

3. 3After immigration and baggage, walk out to arrivals and look for the sign with your name.

Villas drop at the gate. Amber Cove drops at the terminal's ground-transport area; the driver waits there with your name sign for pickups, because vehicles cannot reach the pier itself.

Bigger groups

For 7–14 passengers on local routes to Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata city, Costambar, Cofresí, Maimón, Sosúa or Cabarete, add $20 Standard or $40 VIP per vehicle per journey. Larger groups and all longer group routes require a written custom quote. Declare all luggage and child seats before confirming the vehicle.
