Where Playabachata Spa Resort sits and where we stop

Playabachata Spa Resort is on Maimón Bay, west of Puerto Plata. It uses the Maimón transfer zone, rather than the Playa Dorada or Sosúa fare. Older maps and travel documents may refer to former RIU properties in this area. Book with the current Playabachata name and reservation address; Senator Puerto Plata is a separate destination and should not be substituted for it.

How the pickup works

1Send your arrival flight number, date, passenger count and full hotel name. Confirm the quote in writing before travel.
2Include suitcase and equipment details, plus the ages of children who need car seats, so the vehicle can be confirmed.
3Follow your confirmed POP arrival meeting instructions and look for the driver's name sign after customs.
4Travel to the hotel address agreed in your booking. For a round trip, also provide the return flight date and number.

Bigger groups and luggage

Up to six passengers ride in one Standard vehicle at $45. For 7–14 passengers we send a passenger van: +$20 on Standard, +$40 on VIP. Send the luggage count with the booking — golf bags, strollers and car seats are all fine, we just size the vehicle before the day instead of at the curb.
