For Punta Rucia we plan a pickup 4 to 4.5 hours before your flight. That is not padding: the coast road east behaves very differently at 6 a.m. and at 3 p.m., a single truck on the Luperón stretch can add twenty minutes with nowhere to pass, and rain on the rural section slows everything. On top of the drive you still need checkout, the airline counter and security at POP, which bunch up in the late-morning and mid-afternoon departure waves. Groups of six or more, and anyone on a Saturday changeover, get the upper end of that window. Send the flight number when you book and we confirm the exact pickup time in writing the day before.

Resort gate and lobby pickup

The driver arrives before the agreed time and waits at the entrance with your name. For villas and small lodges we agree a visible meeting point in advance — a gate, a reception or a pinned location — because addresses out here are not reliable.

Luggage and bigger groups

Suitcases, strollers, dive gear and coolers are all fine; tell us the luggage count with the booking so the right vehicle turns up. On a 90-minute road nobody wants a case on their knees, so we size the car properly instead of squeezing.

For 7–14 passengers on local routes to Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata city, Costambar, Cofresí, Maimón, Sosúa or Cabarete, add $20 Standard or $40 VIP per vehicle per journey. Larger groups and all longer group routes require a written custom quote. Declare all luggage and child seats before confirming the vehicle.

Night and early-morning departures

Pre-dawn departures are normal here and cost the same as a midday run. For an 8 a.m. flight that usually means a 4 a.m. pickup; we confirm it on WhatsApp the evening before so nobody is guessing in a dark yard.
