When we recommend leaving Cabarete

Cabarete sits a little further along the coast than Sosúa, so we recommend leaving the lobby 3 hours before your flight — our own advice from driving this road, not an airline rule. The drive alone is 25 to 35 minutes, and it is the leg most exposed to delay: a single truck on the two-lane coast road, roadworks, or rain can add ten minutes with no warning. On top of that you have resort checkout at a property where several hundred guests leave on the same morning wave, then the counter and security at POP. If you are six or more, or on a pre-dawn departure, we will suggest starting a little earlier and we say so when we confirm.
